After completing our research me and Alice now know who our target market
is, what other pop artist they like and what they expect from pop music videos.
Our audience is:
- Girls between 11-16 however girls up top the age of 18 may enjoy the music
too.
- The girls who we are targeting would be quite girly, therefore they are most
likely to be interested in their appearance, boys and their friends.
- The girls would most likely spend their Saturdays shopping or meeting up with
their friends, any money they had which would have been given to them by their parents
would be on socialising or clothes. Something in which me and Alice was like at
that age!
- It is likely that they try and copy the girls look in the band by having the
same hair style, wearing similar clothes to what they do or wearing the same
make up.
- The girls are likely to shop in high-street shops, therefore to appeal to our target market I feel that our band members should also wear clothes from high street shops.
We feel that our audience would be interested in all of these things and
look at celebrities and singers as role models, they are going to want to look
like them, act like and wish they were them. Therefore it is important that
when we film our music video we take these things in to consideration. So our audience
can achieve the look we have and can relate to what we are singing about. This
will make the audience we are trying to target take an interest into our band.
It is essential that we do what we can to appeal to our target audience, this is because fans and audience is what helps make a band successful and therefore if we appeal to them and we are something we can relate to they are going to want to by the music that the band produces.
