Who is going to be in our music video

Now that me and Alice have decided what song we are going to have for our music vide we need to decide who is going to feature in it. As we are doing a girl band pop song girls will be essential to fit in with the conventions of a pop music video. After discussing who we could ask to be in it we decided that actually it would be easier if we featured in it. The reason for this is because that way we wouldn't have to rely on anyone as well as that it would be difficult to try and get all the people we want to be in it available at the same time and place, as me and Alice know this is going towards our media grade we will have to make sure we set the time by to film it and so it make sense to just have us in it. As well as that by having us in the video we already have an idea as to how we want to act and so by filming and being it in ourselves this will be easier to achieve, therefore making our music video more likely to be how we want it.

As we are doing a pop song by a girl band we noticed during our research of other pop bands and All Saints that often boys feature in the music video too . Me and Alice discussed having boys in our music video to help fit the convestions of a pop music video but felt that we would have the same problem as before having to rely on them to turn up to filming. As well as that because our target market is young girls we want them to view us as role modules and be able to relate to what we are singing. If we was to have boys in our music video they wouldn't be able to relate to it and it may not be as successful.

One final thing that me and Alice discussed was how many band members we was going to have, All saints had 4 group members and as me and Alice are a working as a pair we only have 2 members for the band. We didn't think this was effective and so thought about who we could ask to be part of our filming as it would be difficult to film and be filmed with just 2 of us and by only having to rely on one person there is a less of a risk that things would go wrong. Me and Alice both have sisters and so in the end asked if Alice's sister Ana would film for our us in which she agreed and as she is family it will be difficult to try and get out of it! meaning that it will be more likely to go ahead.
